Fundraiser to Perform in

Arts for Autism in New York

                                    WHAT IS ARTS FOR AUTISM

Arts for Autism is a one-night annual Broadway benefit concert where the biggest names on Broadway join performing arts students from around the country onstage at the Gershwin Theatre (home to Broadway's production of Wicked). Tony Award winner, Kelli O'Hara (The King and I) hosted the show in 2016 and 2017, and last year was joined by Tony Award nominees Stephanie J. Block (Falsettos), Christopher Jackson (Hamilton), Adrienne Warren (Shuffle Along), and dozens more. Together they perform, spread awareness, and inspire compassion, kindness, and understanding for those affected by autism. This year will mark the fourth annual benefit concert with 100% of the ticket sale proceeds benefiting Autism Speaks. The show raised $36,000 in 2016, $45,000 in 2017 and $45,000 in 2018. We are looking forward to another exciting and impactful event this June!

HOW DID I GET INVOLVED WITH ARTS FOR AUTISM

In the fall of 2018, I auditioned and was chosen to be part of a group of students from Denver (through Avanti Music Academy) that will be performing in Arts for Autism in June 2019. I will be rehearsing with the group here in Denver until we join Broadway professionals in June to do our final rehearsals and the benefit concert in New York. Our group will be performing "This Is Me" from the Greatest Showman! We will also participate in the full group musical number. I am super excited to be a part of this amazing benefit concert and hope you will support me on this journey and help bring awareness to this incredible cause!

How can you support me on this journey and help bring awareness about autism? 1. Follow my blog (coming soon on this website)! 2. Purchase some holiday fudge and spread some extra cheer this holiday season knowing that your sweet gift will also help raise awareness about autism! 3. VALENTINE FUDGE

FARAJA BAGS

SPECIAL THANK YOU

Karen Clair of KC Designs has graciously offered to sponsor me as I fund raise to participate in Arts for Autism! Through February 28, 2019, all proceeds from Faraja Bags will directly benefit my trip to NYC. Thank you so much, Karen, for your support!

WHAT ARE FARAJA BAGS

Faraja means "soothing" in Swahili. Faraja Bags contain a blend of rice and flax seed that will soothe sore, tense or achy muscles. These soothing bags make great holiday gifts for everyone on your holiday gift list!

HOW DOES THE FARAJA BAG WORK

Place the Faraja Bag in the microwave for 1-3 minutes. Increase or decrease the time to adjust the degree of heat that is desired. Once the desired temperature is reached, use the Faraja Bag as you would a heating pad to soothe sore and achy muscles.

CAUTION: Faraja Bags should not be used by those who cannot communicate temperature preference. Also, Faraja Bags should be closely monitored if used on children.
